Privacy Policy

Summary

We collect the information needed to run ClaimTally: your account information, the photos and audio you capture, the inventory you produce, and basic technical and usage records. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. We share information with service providers only as needed to operate the product.

1. What we collect

  • Account: email, display name, role (policyholder / agent), optional agency name and license number for agents.
  • Inventory content: photos, audio recordings, transcripts, item names, descriptions, categories, values, conditions, and dates.
  • Usage: timestamps for captures and edits, selected activity records, and browser or app device information.
  • Technical: IP address and request metadata processed by hosting and authentication providers for service security, plus application error logs.

2. How we use it

We use this information to authenticate you, process photos and audio, organize and value inventory, generate exports, deliver transactional messages and notifications, support policy-scoped collaboration, investigate errors, and record selected sensitive actions. We do not use it for ads or third-party marketing.

3. Who we share it with

  • Vercel — web application hosting and request delivery.
  • Supabase — database and non-public file storage.
  • Firebase Cloud Functions — authenticated processing and background jobs.
  • Google Gemini Developer API — photo, audio, language, and valuation-related processing requested through ClaimTally.
  • SearchAPI.io — product-search queries used to support valuation research.
  • Amazon Web Services (SES) — transactional email delivery.
  • Expo Push Service — mobile push-notification delivery.
  • Apple and Google — account sign-in when you choose the corresponding sign-in option.
  • An accepted collaborator — information for a specific policy you choose to share, until you revoke that access.
ClaimTally sends information to these providers only for the product functions described above. Their processing is governed by the applicable service terms and agreements.

4. Collaboration and activity records

When a collaborator acts on a shared policy, selected changes are recorded in an activity log available from Settings or the mobile Activity screen. These records do not cover every request or change. You can remove a collaborator from Settings.

5. Retention and deletion

You can delete individual items, rooms, and policies from the relevant inventory or policy view, and delete your account from Settings. Account deletion removes core account and inventory records, then requests removal of associated stored media. Limited copies may remain temporarily in service-provider backups, logs, or records retained for security or legal obligations.

6. Security

The ClaimTally web application is served over HTTPS. Photos and audio are stored in non-public buckets with row-level access policies. Selected agent, administrative, and processing actions are recorded in activity or audit records. No security is absolute; read our security overview or report a concern to security@claimtally.ai.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Inventory and policy views contain inventory controls, while Settings contains account controls. For anything else, email hello@claimtally.ai.

8. Changes

We will update this page and its revision date when the policy changes. We may also provide notice through the product or email when a change materially affects how we handle personal information.

9. Contact

Email hello@claimtally.ai with questions about this policy.
